So the translation goes: Frederick De Wit was a famous cartographer mainly interested in realizing representations of our planet. However, amongst his many publications there are representations of cities and this map is a shining example. It is an exquisite example of relief map of the city of Florence which was realized, as was the current practice, with copper-engraving mounted onto a removable cloth, for easy transport. Our replica reproduces all the above-mentioned features to convey the charm of the period.

All maps are Made in Italy, outlined using a hand tooled copper press, painted by hand using water color, mounted on an antiquated, linen and cotton canvas in sections which fold easily and are encased in a soft bag, inside of a luxurious burgundy gift box with the map’s title written across the corner cover.

Maps may be hung using any method of your choice including professional framing (available upon request) or be displayed atop tables or other flat surfaces.
