So the translation goes: This gorgeous map of Naples is one in a series of perspective views of numerous Italian cities realized by Frederick Probst. You will find several of these maps here in our online collection. Of particular interest is the presentation of the title as though it were on a parchment scroll. That, combined with the finesse of each stroke gives this map a sense of perspective and irrefutable value. City names are presented using historical names which often differ to how they are pronounced or written today. The detailed legend which graces the bottom margin of each map is also noteworthy as it contains numbers which indicate the most important monuments of each specific city. Begin your collection with a few or enjoy the entire series. All maps are Made in Italy, outlined using a hand tooled copper press, painted by hand using water color, mounted on an antiquated, linen and cotton canvas in sections which fold easily and are encased in a soft bag, inside of a luxurious burgundy gift box with the map’s title written across the corner cover.

Maps may be hung using any method of your choice including professional framing (available upon request) or be displayed atop tables or other flat surfaces.
